This site keeps things minimal — here is exactly what's stored in your browser.
What's stored locally
Your compare list and recently viewed homes are kept only in this browser's local storage. Saved properties also start there; if you sign in, that shortlist is copied to your Mr. Homes account so it can follow you across devices.
Your answer to the analytics question below is stored the same way, so we only ask once.
Analytics, only if you agree
We use Google Analytics to see which homes get looked at and which pages people leave from. The script is not loaded at all until you accept — declining means nothing is requested, so no analytics cookie is ever set.
You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the question back.
Anonymous visit counts
We count page views, the country a visit comes from, how many people are on the site right now and which homes are saved, using our own database — no third party is involved. This uses no cookie: a random number is kept only for the length of one browser tab session and is gone when you close the tab. We do not store your IP address, and we cannot recognise you from one visit to the next.
If you have declined analytics, or your browser sends Do Not Track, these counts are switched off for you.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party pixels. We do not sell or share what analytics collects.
We reply the same day, usually within a few hours.
